First Blog
Well, I got off to a late start due to being out of town for a funeral but luckily there was a make up weigh in... I still need to do a make up lesson for the Vita Bot food log program as I have been down with a virus or something and missed that too!
I have not been staying on my "diet" as I have not even felt like eating... Hopefully now that I am on antibiotics I can get back to my "life" and tracking my eating. I am following a 1-1-1 diet which simply means 1 protein, 1 carb and 1 fat for each of 3 meals and 2 snacks and being careful of portion size. Most vegetables are "free" but I am bummed that fruit is a carb as I do eat fruit or have juice daily. If I have to make a choice between a piece of toast or an orange in the morning; I guess, if I am honest, I'd rather have the toast. However, I think I can have fruit as a snack as long as I pair it with a fat and a protein - ie apple with peanut butter. Back to the planning board. I am looking forward to blogging and I think the food tracking is a great idea - it has worked for me in the past as I do tend to mindlessly eat sometimes. I hope to meet my fellow lighten up participants in the near future..
